A restless ghost, a suicidal clown, a philosopher transformed into a golden diamond, a crazy person in the body of a midget, a masochistic female, a gay couple doomed to be ridiculed…This is an allegory: In the end of the world, the disquiet of men is the food of the gods.

Thursday, September 22nd, 3:30 p.m., E St Cinema

Missing One Player (in mahjongg) situation is terrible.all three players wait at the table with no alternative, facing each other in tears and enduring sadness in silence. The director said: "This film is not specific narrative, it only express sadness--as time goes by, some of their friends lost touch, and that, make us think of 'Missing One Player' in mahjongg.

Way Out | 出口

Thursday, September 22nd, 3:30 p.m., E St Cinema

DU Yukai/ CN/ 3 MINS

"Way Out" is the living epitome of the digital age, inspired by MIT professor Snow莉克特of "Lonely Together" , where there the expressionless urbaner is compared to a mobile phone in contrast, blurring the divide between the living (human) and the dead, (technology products) . Film reveals the modern reliance on fictional communication.

Journey | 遠行

Thursday, September 22nd, 3:30 p.m., E St Cinema

ZHAO Xiaowei/ CN/ 11 MINS

"Journey" is named after a phrase from the “Nineteen Ancient Poems”. The life between heaven and earth, passing like a traveler." We live in a time where people rush in everything., Gradually, familiar places become strange, and the distant still remote and invisible. The story narrates the sense of wandering, and what people get and lost between time and space.

Forever |

Thursday, September 22nd, 3:30 p.m., E St Cinema

ZHONG Su/ CN/ 7 MINS

Most scenes in “Forever” are improvised. The filmmaker tries to keep the uncertainty and let the story unfold in its own course. Creating this film was a long process of giving up and giving in. All the floating thoughts ultimately come together into the mystery you see.

I Play You Play We Play |

Thursday, September 22nd, 3:30 p.m., E St Cinema

CHAI Mi/ CN/ 4 MINS

Playing is in the nature of man, and so is to create. This work takes the form of a stop-motion animation and documents the process of the game of creation. The inspiration behind this film stems from the game of building blocks and jigsaws, in the process of which the artist experiences flashes of ideas and continuous association or creation of images. These images are spread out with a complete piece of music running through it.
